Marriage beyond the myth- Inter caste marriage!
The question shouldn't be, “W hat is wrong with inter caste marriage?” But it should be “Why are there still issues with inter caste marriage?” Marriage by its very nature brings in the challenge of resolving differences .It is the challenge of two individuals searching for sameness beyond differences. “The man women difference, intellectual difference, difference in emotional responses, the difference in tastes, the difference in family values and personal values etc. And in Nepali context, while a man gets married to a girl, a girl gets married to a family . So, in an inter caste marriage, the man has to only make a few adjustments , while the girl will have to make some major compromise.
